Seattle – Man Stabbed with Golf Club

Police are searching for a man who stabbed another man with a broken golf club in a drunken battle royal early Friday morning.

Officers responded to the 5200 block of University Way NE at 2:10 a.m. and broke up the melee including a large group of inebriated people.

Seattle Fire crews attended to a man with an apparent stab wound to the abdomen. The man told officers and medics that he had been struck and stabbed with a broken golf club.

He was transferred to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A spectator told police the man responsible for the stabbing works at a tavern near the fight location. He is described as a white male, between 5-foot-8 and 5-11, with blond hair.
